How affiliate links work
When we link to a tool or service, some of those links contain tracking parameters that identify ScoreMyStack as the referral source. If you sign up for a paid plan through one of those links, the tool provider pays us a commission (typically 15-30% of the first payment or a fixed bounty).
What this means for our content
- 1.Scores are not influenced by affiliate status. Our scoring engine uses the same 7-dimension methodology for every tool. A tool with no affiliate program receives the same treatment as one paying 30% commission.
- 2.Rankings are not influenced by affiliate status. Tools are ranked by composite score. We do not adjust rankings to favour tools with higher commissions.
- 3.Verdicts are not influenced by affiliate status. Every comparison picks a winner based on score analysis. We have recommended tools that have no affiliate program over tools that pay high commissions.
- 4.We disclose affiliate relationships. Pages containing affiliate links include a disclosure notice near the top or bottom of the content.
Why we use affiliate links
Affiliate commissions allow us to keep ScoreMyStack free for all users. There are no paywalls, no premium tiers, and no sponsored content. Affiliate revenue funds our research, scoring updates, and content production.
